GA Food Stamps Balance
There are currently four options for checking the balance on your Georgia EBT card. They include:
- By phone – calling customer service
- Online – visiting the EBT Card website
- In-Person – checking your last receipt
- By Mobile App

How to Check your Georgia EBT Card Balance
Follow the Food Stamps balance instructions for Georgia listed below.
Option 1 – Use your recent Purchase Receipt
One of the easiest ways to check your Georgia EBT Card balance is to find the most recent purchase receipt or ATM receipt (for TANF recipients).
At the bottom of the receipt, you will find the current balance on your card. In order to use this method to check your balance, you have to get in the habit of saving your purchase receipts.

Option 2 – Contact Customer Service by Phone
The next way to check your card balance is to call the Georgia EBT Card customer service.
You can call the Georgia EBT Customer Service phone number at 1-888-421-3281.
Representatives are available to help you retrieve your Card balance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Be sure to have your Georgia EBT Card and PIN Number ready. You must provide this information to get your current food stamps balance.
Option 3 – Check Your Balance Online
The third option to check your Georgia EBT Card balance is online. You can find out your EBT Card balance online by using the Connect EBT website.
Once you are on the site, enter your User ID and Password in the login section on the left side of the page.
You must enter your User ID and Password to login into your Georgia EBT account and check your EBT balance.

Option 4 – Using the ConnectEBT Mobile App
The last option to check your Georgia EBT Card balance is by using the ConnectEBT app as shown by the image below.
There are two versions of the ConnectEBT mobile application.
There is a version for Apple devices, like the iPhone.
In addition, there is a version for Andriod devices.
If you have an Apple device like the iPhone, you can download the app at the Apple Appstore.
Alternatively, if you have an Andriod device, you can download the app from the Google Play store.
In addition to checking your balance, you can view your EBT Transaction History, Change your PIN number, and review benefit deposits.
If you forgot your Georgia Connect EBT User ID, follow the instructions below.
Forgot Georgia EBT Online Account User ID?
If you do not remember your User ID for your Georgia Connect EBT online account, follow these steps.
- Visit the Georgia Connect EBT website
- Click the “Forgotten User ID” link below the Login
- Enter your Mailing Address ZIP Code, Birth Date, and EBT Card Number
- Click the “Submit” button
- Answer the Security Questions
- Check your Email – your Georgia Connect User ID EBT was emailed to you

If you forgot your Georgia Connect EBT online account password, follow these steps to reset your password.
- Visit the Georgia Connect EBT website
- Click the “Reset Password” link below the Login
- Enter your Mailing Address ZIP Code, Birth Date, and EBT Card Number
- Create your new password – must be 6 to 8 characters long
- Click the “Submit” button
- Login to your Georgia Connect EBT online account

How to Create Georgia Connect EBT Online Account
If you do not have online access to check your Georgia EBT Card balance, follow these steps.
- Visit the Georgia Connect EBT website
- Click the “Create User Account” link below the Login
- Enter your Mailing Address ZIP Code, Birth Date, and EBT Card Number
- Create your User ID & Password**
- Click the “Submit” button
- Login to your Georgia EBT online account to check your balance
**Your User ID and Password must be 6-8 characters long and contain any combination of letters and numbers. Please note, your User ID is NOT case sensitive. However, your Password is case sensitive.

How to use your Georgia EBT Card
Before you use your Georgia EBT Card at a store, first make sure you have the following items:
- Set-up your 4-digit PIN number
- Available benefits balance
Once you have the items listed above and are ready to use your EBT Card at the store, follow the instructions below.
- Visit an EBT-approved store
- Add eligible food items to your cart
- At checkout, slide your card at the Point-of-Sale machine or hand the card to the cashier for manual payment
- Enter your 4-digit PIN into the machine
- Keep your receipt to find your remaining EBT Card balance

Stores that accept EBT in Georgia
There are hundreds of stores that accept EBT Cards in Georgia. Any easy way to tell if a store accepts EBT as payment is to look for an EBT sign in the front store window. Another sure way to tell if a store accepts EBT is to ask any store employee.
A variety of stores including superstores, pharmacies, general stores, gas stations, convenience stores, specialty food stores, and farmer’s markets accept EBT in Georgia.

How to Use Georgia EBT to Shop Online
Georgia SNAP EBT Cardholders can now use their food stamp benefits to shop online at select retailers.
Your EBT Card can be used to pay for approved food and grocery items online at checkout for home delivery or in-store pick-up.
In addition, Georgia EBT Card recipients can order groceries online and pay with their EBT Card in-person at pick-up.
Participating Retailers
Currently, you can shop online with your Georgia EBT Card at the following retailers:
- Amazon
- Walmart
In addition, Georgia will now serve as the pilot state for online grocery purchases at ALDI via Instacart.
Using the Instacart app, you can now shop and select from ALDI’s EBT SNAP-eligible products.
Once items are added to your cart, you will be able to select how much of your EBT benefits you would like to allocate to the order.

When will I receive my Georgia EBT benefits?
Georgia food stamps benefits are deposited based on the last 2-digits of your ID number. Use the Georgia EBT Deposit Date schedule for 2020, below:

20-29 | 9th of the month |
30-39 | 11th of the month |
40-49 | 13th of the month |

What time will my Georgia EBT Benefits Be Deposited?
Your Georgia food stamps are deposited into your EBT account on your scheduled deposit date every month.
Your benefits will be available to use on your Georgia EBT Card by 6 AM on your scheduled payment date.
How long does it take for benefits to post to an EBT card after approval?
At application, if you have never had a case, it takes 5-7 days to receive an EBT card.
However, if your case is under review you will receive benefits on your normal issuance cycle.
Can I use my EBT card in another state?
Your EBT card will work at any store or ATM that accepts EBT cards in the United States, as well as the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam.
There are no rules against using your EBT card outside of your state of residence. However, you are required to report any address change to your local county public assistance office.
If I don’t use all of the benefits I received this month, can I use them next month?
Yes. Benefits that are not used in the month issued will stay in the EBT account, and you may use these benefits in the following months.
Can I buy seafood with my Georgia EBT Card?
Yes, you can use your Georgia EBT Card to buy seafood and redeem your food stamp benefits.
Eligible seafood items that can be purchased with your EBT card include shrimp, fish, lobster, crab, scallops, mussels, oysters, and more.

Do farmer’s markets accept EBT in Georgia?
Yes, you can use your Georgia EBT Card to purchase food items at farmer’s markets.
In fact, farmer’s markets will allow you to double your EBT benefits. For instance, $10 on your EBT Card you will get $20 worth of food.
