Georgia SNAP Payment Schedule for October 2023
In the state of Georgia, SNAP benefits are distributed by the Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS).
In addition, there is no single date on which all SNAP benefits are issued.
Instead, benefits are sent out over a 10-day period each month.
Your Georgia EBT Deposit Date varies based on the last two-digits of your Georgia Food Stamps ID number.
GA Food Stamp benefits will be made available in your EBT Card account by 6am EST on your scheduled deposit day.

Food stamp benefits in Georgia deposit on a specific day each the month, which varies depending on the recipient’s ID number.
However, weekends and holidays may affect the exact timing of the deposit.
Typically, SNAP benefits are available in your Georgia EBT Card account by 6 am on your scheduled deposit date.

No, Georgia will not be distributing emergency allotment SNAP benefits in October 2023. Over 798,000 Georgia households will not be receiving the extra food stamp benefits through P-SNAP for October.
Why did the Extra Food Stamps end in Georgia?
The extra food stamp benefits in Georgia was passed to help families facing hardship due to the pandemic. The pandemic SNAP benefits, also known as P-SNAP added an extra $95 in benefits to Georgia EBT Cards each month.
In June 2022, each SNAP household in Georgia began receiving their normal food stamp benefits. In addition, SNAP eligibility requirements, including household size, income, and deductions will go back to their normal standards.
As of March 1st, 2023, the extra food stamp benefits have ended for all states. This means that the Emergency Allotment benefits will no longer be issued in any state.

Georgia SNAP Increase for October 2023
Effective October 1, 2023, the USDA increased food stamp benefits for all Georgia SNAP recipients.
Georgia food stamp households can expect to receive an average increase of 3.5% in their monthly SNAP EBT benefits.
The annual increase in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits is an effort to reflect changes in the cost of living.
A two-person household could receive $19 more in maximum SNAP benefits, from $516 to $535.
The maximum SNAP benefit for a family of 4 will increase by $34 from $939 to $973.
Additionally, a family of 5 will see their maximum food stamps benefits increase to $1,155 from $1,116 – an increase of $39.
As you can see, there has not been a significant increase in SNAP Maximum Allotment benefits from fiscal year 2023 to 2024.
The new Georgia SNAP benefit increase went into effect on Sunday, October 1st, 2023.

You can use your GA EBT Card and food stamp benefits to purchase approved grocery items and have it delivered directly to your door.

Georgia Power Provides Financial Assistance to Renters in Need
Georgia Power, in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, is offering financial assistance to around 200,000 eligible customers in nearly 300 zip codes across the state.
The initiative aims to help renters facing difficulties in paying their utility bills, particularly those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The utility assistance program allows qualified applicants to receive support with their past-due electricity bills, helping them navigate challenging times.
To be eligible, applicants must rent their homes, be Georgia Power customers residing in income-qualified zip codes, and have a balanced bill on their Georgia Power account. A
Assistance is provided through in-person application help sessions and must be applied for before the deadline of March 31.
2023 Summer P-EBT in Georgia
Georgia has been approved to issue Summer 2023 P-EBT benefits to eligible households with school children.
The Georgia Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits for Summer 2023 will be issued to 925,000 schoolchildren in the state.
Each eligible child will receive a $120 payment.
Summer 2023 P-EBT payments are going out now.
All payments will be submitted to eligible households by the end of September 2023.
