Georgia Gateway Account Services
The Georgia Gateway website allows individuals to apply for, and renew a broad range of government benefits administered by various State agencies in Georgia.

If you already have a Georgia Gateway account but need help logging in, keep reading.
Here’s how to login to your Gateway account:
Step 1: The first step to login into your account is to visit the Gateway – Gateway.ga.gov.
Once there, locate the “Gateway Login” section, which is usually on the right side of the homepage as shown below.
Step 2: In the “Gateway Login” section, enter your User ID and Password into the first and second field boxes (see screenshot below).
If you don’t remember your User ID and password, see below for help.
Step 3: After you have entered both your User ID and Password, click the yellow “Login” button.
Step 4: If the Login information you entered was corrected, you will be redirected to your Gateway.ga.gov account homepage.
How to Retrieve Gateway Username and Password
If you cannot remember your Gateway User ID, follow these instructions retrieve your account information.
Get started by clicking on the “Forgot User ID?” link located in Login section on the Georgia Gateway homepage.
Once you click the button, you will be redirected. Now, let’s begin!
Enter your Personal Information
The first step when trying to access your Gateway User ID is to enter your account information on the “Forgot User ID” page. The page should look like to one pictured below.
There, you will be asked to enter the following information to retrieve your User ID:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number
- Client ID
Once you enter this information click on the “Continue” link for further instructions on how to retrieve your User ID with your email.
Similarly, if you cannot remember your Georgia Medicaid Login password, click on the “Forgot your password?” link located in Login section on the Georgia Gateway homepage.
Verify your Identity
Once you click the link, you will be taken to a page that looks like the one below.
After that, you will be asked to answer two secret security questions. This is to verify your identity and make sure that you are the account holder.
You must answer these two questions correctly to recover your Gateway password. For more help, please refer to the photo below.

Set a New Password
Once you have entered the requested information, click on the “Continue” link for further instructions on how to reset your password.

Create a Georgia Medicaid Login Account
If you do not yet have a Georgia Gateway account, here’s how to create one.
Step 1 – Go to the Georgia Gateway Website
Visit the Gateway.ga.gov website and click on the yellow “Create Account” button.
You’ll be redirected to a new page titled, “Setting Up An Account” (as shown below).
Complete the first section titled, “Step 1” by entering the following information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
Step 2 – Create User ID & Password
Similarly, complete the second section titled, “Step 2” by creating a unique User ID and Password.
In addition, your Georgia Gateway User ID must contain 6-15 letters and/or numbers – no special characters.
The Password must contain 8-15 characters, including a minimum of one upper-case letter, one lower-case letter, and one digit – special characters can also be used.
Step 3 – Set your Security Questions
After that, you will be required to select three secret questions for your Gateway account.
To proceed, select a question from the drop down menu provided. Then, type the answer in the box provided below the question.
This information is collected as a security feature used to protect your account if someone other than yourself try to gain access.
You may also be asked one of these when trying to recover or reset your User ID and/or Password.
Step 4 – Submit your Information
Finally, once all three sections have been completed, review all your information to make sure it is accurate.
If correct, review and check the box for the User Acceptance Agreement, then click the orange “Create Account” button located at the bottom right of the page.
After clicking the “Create Account” button, you will be directed to a new page that states a Confidentiality Agreement.
Next, select “I Accept” in order to proceed with setting up your Georgia Gateway account.
Congratulations!!!! You have successfully set up a Georgia Gateway account.
In short, you can now apply for Benefits, including Georgia Medicaid and check the status of your Georgia Medicaid Application among other functions.
