Gateway.ga.gov System Down
On Saturday, January 13 a number of Georgia Gateway users reported issues accessing their online benefits portal, as well as the Georgia Gateway website. After research, we can confirm that the Georgia Gateway online portal is down. Users have also reported that they have not received their scheduled benefits.
This is a huge issue for the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) – the government sector that is responsible for running the food stamps program. To make things even worse for SNAP recipients, this outage has occurred during the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. All government offices, including the Georgia DFCS is closed in observance of the holiday, which extends the resolution to this problem an additional business day.
If you are a Georgia SNAP recipient and have not received your benefits or have been affected by this outage, we want to hear from you! What do you think the DFCS should do to make up for this huge issue? How can they prevent this in the future?
We will be updating this post with any additional information we may find. Please leave any new information and report your outages in the comments section below. We look forward to hearing from you!
